Softboot

In 1994, K2 revolutionized the skate industry by introducing the first-ever Softboot inline skate. This patented K2 technology provided skaters with the precision and accuracy of a hardshell boot, in a new, comfortable and lighter weight softboot design. The sport instantly became more enjoyable and easier, changing inline skating forever. Fifteen years later, the Softboot design is still the foundation of K2’s collection. Many companies have followed K2’s direction, and today, K2’s Original Softboot Technology still remains the design standard by which all other manufacturers measure themselves. Often imitated, but never duplicated, K2 is the Original Softboot and continues to push the envelope of inline skate innovation.
