Looking at the new skates for 2009, like the look of the Don and Il Capo……does the brake frame fit on the Il Capo as well as the Don, from the picture it looks like the same frame …..?
thanks for the reply, love my K2s!! got these Exo 6.1 from a few years ago, looking to upgrade in spring to a shorter frame……

Great that youve started this site. I would not have any skate on my foot except K2, the womens anatomical cuff places my ankle perfectly. I started on the Velocity 4.0, went to the Exo 6.0 and now use the Alexis 2007 model with the hi-lo frame, debating whether to purchase the Alexis W 2009 or that snazzy eco-friendly bamboo one, or the Vincenza which seems to resemble the Exo 6.0. They all look great!

Powell, a question. What exactly is it that sets the Commission Line apart from other K2 models, that makes these skates better for things like slalom, dance, jam, urban etc. The Vincenza looks hot but I skate on bike trails and roads in county parks and currently use the Alexis, also have enjoyed the Exo 6.0. How does the Vincenza differ from these skates? Thanks.

The main difference on these skates is the materials and the styling of them compared to the Alexis and 6.0. With the Vincenza in particular, you will find a skate that works great on the trails with a medium frame length, 80mm wheels and ILQ-7 bearings. In the commission series, the Capo and Don are the skates that are designed for slalom, dance, jam, urban etc..

It is a synthetic upper that the engineers have been working on since the first Softboot. It keeps getting better in my opinion!

Whee, thats mine, thats mine! I’m on the 2007, which one is she on, the classy new Alexis W or an earlier hi-lo model?

will k2 offer a 110mm longmount race frame for ‘09?
love the radical pro and would like a 3×110x1×100mm or a 4×110mm race frame to fit the smaller shoe sized rad pro’s 185mm spacing.

  12. 12 Powell said at 10:12 pm on February 17th, 2009:

It doesn’t sound like we will be offering this frame. I will let you know if these plans change in the near future.
